My name is Jon Heller. I graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 2000, and went to the University of Massachusetts Amherst where I met my lovely wife and got a bachelor’s degree in computer science. I then moved to an oddly named placed called Conshohocken, a suburb west of Philadelphia, where I attended the graduate program at Villanova University and obtained a masters degree, also in computer science. Then in February of 2007, my wife and I moved up to Massachusetts.
I am the IT Director of a small financial newsletter company in Salem, Massachusetts (yes, with the witches). I also do technology consulting on the side, via Adaro Consulting.
My interests on the internet mostly revolve around web design and development, and web applications. Outside of the internet, I listen to a lot of different types of music (my morning commute playlist includes Les Miserables, Kid Cudi, and Mates of State). I’m a fan of, well, food, which means writing reviews on Yelp as well as cooking a fair amount at home. Like most 20 something males, I play my fair share of video games on XBox 360, and am a former World of Warcraft addict (the term “former” used loosely). I mostly read non-fiction, and have recently started listing those books over at Library Thing. Lastly, I just recently bought my first DSLR camera, and have been trying to get out and take some pictures, which I then upload the decent ones to Flickr.
Oh, I’m also madly in love with my wife of five years, Leanne, who writes her own blog at Guide to World Domination. I also became a dad as of May 16th, 2009. Fittingly, my son has his own site, MaddoxHeller.com
